Our in-house electronic prepress department incorporates state of the art electronic pre-flighting coupled with the most advanced electronic prepress workflow. This allows us to trouble shoot and correct files at the fastest rate possible.

The elimination of film coupled with one of the fastest plate setters in the industry allows us to produce plates at a much faster rate improving over all production time. We also incorporate cutting edge technology, utilizing high fidelity screening that improves the quality of all jobs printed at Color Spectrum. The result is a superior image quality with smoother tones, tints and gradations. The use of advanced technology screening also gives us the ability to run higher ink density settings to achieve sharper images and improved detail. In Short, jobs get to press in a fraction of the time while maintaining higher quality standards.

DIRECT TO PLATE

Color Spectrum Printing has chosen the Fuji Graphics Dual Laser Saber Luxel Vx9600 visible light, eight up plate setter to perform the job of outputting plates for press. There are many benefits when it comes to CTP technology.

• Because film is no longer utilized to make printing plates, we eliminate the costs of outputting film and manual stripping. In most cases, clients can save on projects that would have been produced conventionally.

• Since the work flow is completely digital, the prepress production time, from proofing to final imaging is dramatically reduced.

• Laser guided precision and the elimination of human error, ensure a sharper impression and exact registration on multiple color jobs.

TRAPPING, PRE-FLIGHT AND JOB PLOTTING…

Trapping, pre-flighting and job plotting are done on the RAMPAGE RIPING system. RAMPAGE drives the Fuji plate setter and the Epson 10600 color-proofing device utilizing Ultra-chrome inks to eliminate the ink dryback that occurs with conventional proofing systems. The theory of one RIP to many output devices means there is no chance of corruption or changes to a file after final proofs have been approved.

We utilize RAMPROOF DIRECT for imposition proofing with ICC color profiling to drive our Epson 10600 and Epson 7000 color proofers. This ensures that our clients are receiving accurate color proofs.
